ok so !! 5 days until halloween, here’s your yearly reminder that día de muertos is NOT in any way shape or form, a latinamerican equivalent to halloween. día de muertos holds huge cultural importance in mexico (can’t speak for other countries), it is a day where we celebrate our loved ones who have passed and they can cross back over to spend the night with us. it’s important to me and many others, please do not use it as a prop for your halloween decorations and costumes
