Halloween is over, and Dia de Muertos is here. Please be respectful, do not appropriate our traditions, as some of them are ancient & indigenous (Huey miccaílhuitl/Miccailhuitontli) and others are religious (All Souls Day~Catholicism). Cultures all over the world celebrate the dead in different ways, and everyone is absolutely welcome to celebrate the loved ones they miss, but please be respectful, do not appropriate (Catrina Makeup/ "cosplay", altares, etc) because this is not "Mexican Halloween." Please don't speak over us.
