phoenixes-and-wizards

i really adore the fact that season 2′s main theme revolved around love and the things we do in order to protect those we hold dearest. there’s peter, who was willing to possess an innocent child, just so he could be with his beloved becs once more.

hannah, who had so much inner strength that she somehow managed to convince herself she was still alive because she wanted to protect the inhabitants of bly, but most importantly, her chef–lovely owen with his god-awful puns and soft heart.

and of course, there’s dani, who sacrificed an entire lifetime with her beloved jamie; who could’ve given herself just one more day to say a proper goodbye but chooses to go anyway because she was never selfish enough to risk another second if it meant that viola could jump out any minute and harm her gardener.

all of them had a choice, and even though there was no clear path that ensured an easy outcome, they did it anyway. because all of them had found someone who’s “worth the work,” never mind the pain that comes with losing them, because isn’t it the little moments in between that make everything else worthwhile anyway?
