Fun family story: when my aunt was marrying her wife everyone was really excited but also dreading it because my aunt is known for her insanely long speeches so everyone knew her vows would be like 9 hours long so when it came time for her to say her vows she had a shit ton of cue cards in her hands and even her wife started groaning and my aunt took a deep inhale and then unravelled all the cue cards which were taped together and they all just read ‘HOT DAMN’ in giant letters and those were my aunts vows.
What’s unbelievable about this? We have someone who’s self aware of a certain trait and using it to mess with people??

What IS it with people on this site refusing to believe that anyone ever has a funny anecdote or a witty interaction or a wild experience that they might share stories about?
Sure, there are fake stories out there that share similar structure or details, but that doesn’t mean that no one anywhere has ever done or said or encountered anything interesting in real life.
And what does the naysaying accomplish? What does it demonstrate, apart from an appalling lack of humor and imagination on the part of the commenter? What good does it do to show everyone how cynical you are?
Read the room. If others are enjoying it and it’s not doing any harm, it doesn’t matter if you believe it or not. Just let it be.
